Pretests and Posttests
The text contains a pretest and posttest that mirror the format of the actual test. Diagnostic correlations charts determine student strengths and weaknesses and reference the lessons within the text for targeted remediation. Because the pretest and posttest mirror the format of the actual test, students will become familiar and comfortable with the test format, helping to relieve test anxiety.
Three-Step Lesson Format
Mathematics uses a three-step lesson format. Step one provides modeled instruction on sample problems. Students are provided instruction on how to work two to four practice problems in step two. The final step in the lesson contains formatted practice problems that students work through on their own.
