A biodome of beauty among dystopia, the people of Eden have lived and survived for over four hundred years-trapped, controlled, hopeless.

On every citizen's thirtieth birthday, their fragile existence is uncontrollably destroyed. And those who try to defy the system are faced with monsters beyond the walls that devour all who dare escape.

There are two among them however, who refuse to accept their fates. Twenty-year-olds Vella and Cole know time is their enemy as they work to uncover the buried truths about Eden. Joined by unforeseen connections and newfound power, the two are forced to face the burden of mortality. Death and survival are familiar, but it's the secret dream of challenging the rules holding them captive that dares to ignite the hope of liberation. Even if it means facing the monsters determined to take everything from them.

But the fight for freedom won't come easy. Eden is rotten from the inside out and escape means fight over fear, violence before victory. The question remains: what does it mean to live a heroic life when death is inevitable?
