In Spirit And In Truth

In John chapter 4 we read of an encounter between Jesus and a Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob. As the conversation transpires, we see the theme move from thirst to Worship and in a few concise verses Jesus expounds to the Samaritan woman the type of worship that the Father was seeking from His people.Our purpose in this text is to examine the words of Jesus in these verses and consider how they apply today. How do we individually and corporately be the kind of the worshippers that Jesus spoke of? What does it mean to worship in spirit and in truth and how do we know if we are fulfilling this call? I believe that we are in a season when the Lord is calling His people back to the truths of His Word and part of that call involves making sure that our worship aligns with what He has called us to offer. In this season there is an invitation from the Father for His people to go deeper and it is my prayer that this text may help you on that journey.
