Imagine 11 dogs in a POLICE DOG UNIT van playing football in the back and really enjoying having a bit of fun after a hard days work chasing robbers. They decide that they want to form their own football team. It is easy as they only have to change two letters on the van to become DOG UNITED. They join a league but have to wear black wigs so that they can play against humans .
This book is the first of a series of 5 where the dogs' play matches against different teams.
This first book introduces all of the DOG UNITED TEAM: Jack and Bobby the fast greyhounds, Leo the dribbly bull dog, Cooper the smelly sheepdog, Phoebe the cute but ditzy cockapoo, Simba the pug who loves to lick, Luna the fun labrador, Max the spaniel who sniffs his way out of trouble, Daisy the small but effective chihuahua, Stan the clever dachshund and last but not least cute puppy Teddy who is learning new skills.
The dogs use their skills and natural abilities from their job as police dogs to try to win on the football pitch.
Dogs United was an idea developed by three children who saw a Dog Unit van drive past them and misread the title believing it to be a Dogs 'Football team . They were so excited at the prospect of a Dogs' team that we had to make it happen. See what happens in their first match in this book.
