The Quarry, Revised Edition, is a work of fiction based on historical fact. Set in the 1800s in rural Newfoundland, when the safety of workers and the hardships they faced were low on the list of priorities for most employers. Dominion Limestone is no different.

Added to the physical perils, Jake, a new employee, becomes the victim of blackmail, making any happiness he'd hoped to find in the small village a seemingly insurmountable challenge.

Motivated by greed and personal profit, Gallo, the mining captain at the quarry, has a finely tuned talent for self-preservation, leaving his employees at the mercy of his dubious leadership.

When a fatal accident is the result of Gallo's mismanagement, the community must come together to keep one another safe.
