Light in the Invading Darkness

Fifteen-year-old Alexandra is not the only student at the New Port Falls Academy for Extra-Biological Students who can do things normal humans can't. What sets her apart from her peers isn't that she can move objects with her mind, but that she's the focus of the Defender Initiative, a project aimed at training her to save the world from destruction at the hands of a space-roaming anomaly known as the Invading Darkness.

When Alexandra's father Stephen gives his life to protect her from a doomsday cult out for her blood, Stephen's friend Claire becomes part of an investigation to take the cult down before they can get to Alexandra. However, Alexandra has taken to searching for the cult herself under the guise of a masked vigilante called the Light, in order to take revenge for her father's murder.

As Alexandra spirals into her own depths, the Invading Darkness continues to approach Earth. And when it arrives, Alexandra will either stand up and fight as a defender, or a destroyer.
