Beyond Classrooms reimagines K-12 education through adaptable learning environments that respond to students' evolving needs. This thesis critiques NYC's outdated school design and proposes a flexible, student-centered model inspired by architecture studios. Spaces become dynamic-featuring modular layouts, collaborative zones, and reconfigurable tools that foster autonomy, creativity, and peer learning. By embracing spatial adaptability, the design supports personalized, interdisciplinary education and challenges the limits of traditional classrooms. Schools of tomorrow must evolve with their learners-and this project offers the blueprint.
