Voyages of the Starship Sid

Sid Ivins knows exactly what he wants out of life. He wants to become an astronaut and work on the International Space Station. But before he can do that, he's willing to settle for surviving the fourth grade and taking first place in the school science fair. Sid attends Walter Mondale Elementary School in Bremerton, Washington, where chaos and adventure reign supreme. Sid's elementary school experience is stunted by Asperger's Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism that affects his social skills. Adding to the drama, Sid is the favorite target of Julie Michaels, the school bully, and is silently crushing on Cyndi Madruga, the prettiest girl in school. If not for his best friend George Hall, Sid would be left to navigate the complicated social web of elementary school by himself. And he'd be in a lot less trouble.
