Final Harvest

A Final Harvest is a series of stories about growing up in rural mid-century America, the community of characters that populate that time, and the way of life fashioned by parents who experienced both the Great Depression and World War II. Topics both large and small including Prohibition, Woman's Suffrage, POW camps, the Salk vaccine, farming, canning and old-fashioned discipline are revealed in "For My Girlfriend", "Something in Return", "Night", and "The Finest Thing". These chapters bring back the reality, pain, and humor from that time in history, and provide insight on why the emotional bonds to that era are so powerful for those who lived the events in these stories.
