Jennifer is a librarian, getting older, and unmarried. When her father dies, she is thrust into a world her mind cannot grasp. At the center of her dissolving sanity is a sexy black-haired man named Keth. Torn over a promise he made to Jennifer's father, Keth desires nothing more than to kill Jennifer and be free. The mysterious man who had so attracted her in the beginning begins to tell his tale and Jennifer realizes he is either mad or her comfortable existence hides truths she cannot grasp.
