Fig Tree

In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, the disciples asked Jesus to tell them when He was coming back. One of the specific events He told them to be watching for was the fig tree beginning to bud again. He said when that happens, the generation that is witness to that event would not pass away until everything else was fulfilled. What (or who) is "the fig tree?" What is the generation Jesus was speaking about? Most importantly, what does this have to do with us today? This small book will compare the prophecy with other passages of Scripture as well as contemporary scientific research to provide a compelling answer to these questions.
