Gregg Wager is a composer, musicologist and music critic who contributed regularly to the Los Angeles Times from 1985 to 1991. He holds a PhD in musicology from the Free University Berlin andrecently earned a JD from the McGeorge School of Law.HIGH AND LOW CULTURE SINCE 1975 represents one observer's conclusions about the times he witnessed firsthand.
