Roland Allen was an Anglican missionary who served for many years in China and Africa. He is best known for his radical and insightful writings on helping indigenous churches flourish and grow."MISSIONARY METHODS" was Allen's groundbreaking work which looked at some of the inadequacies of missions in the early 1900's, with an aim to remedy them.
