On 3 October 1993, Bravo Company, 3-75th Ranger Regiment, prevented fallen comrades-from falling into the hands of the enemy by defeating a numerically superior force with its initiative, audacity, comradery, and perseverance. The story was later told in Mark Bowden's book "Blackhawk Down" which was made into a popular movie of the same name in 2001. Thomas Di Tomasso, a U.S. Army ranger and platoon leader was in the battle that day. He tells his story from a street level view and then provides a few lessons learned.
