I welcome this book on behalf of radiographic practitioners every- where. It arrives at a time of rapid change within the world of medical imaging where advancing technology and changes in employment conditions are having a major effect on the everyday working practices of those who physically and clinically direct radiation. The development of radiography as a graduate profession within the United Kingdom provides the opportunity for role extension and role fulfilment for radiographers.
