Conceived as a resource for Catholics--white Catholics, in particular--to begin the work of relearning what racism and White privilege mean in our context. This includes addressing hard realities that White people have typically been able to avoid, which, as Horan shows from his own experience comes from to the blissful ignorance afforded White people by an ingrained system of racism in both United States and the Church.
Among the questions he addresses: What is Racism? What does it mean to be White? What does the Catholic Church teach about racism? Why doesn't anything seem to change? And, where do go from here?
