Not far, as the "Crow- Flies," from the Chesapeake Bay, on the Choptank River, at Long-Wharf, in Cambridge, MD, history, holds and remembers, boats of long ago. One such vessel, made first from one tree of size, then when gone__ three were used, all called "Log Canoes", were crafted into vessels, of speed with sails. Today some, of, the original, found in mud, or in places kept and stored, are again, showing the speeds of yesteryear. Never too far from the Route 50 Bridge, & the replica of the iconic Chesapeake Light House, the Municipal Marina, and the thousands of north and south bound travelers motoring by; most not realizing those sails are, on boats more than a 100 years old.
