After the author's four-year-old granddaughter Raven was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in the spring of 2017, Garry Gonce wrote his first book, Princess Raven and the Magic Bear. And like Princess Raven, the real Raven has continued to grow stronger and healthier. Her shining personality brings joy to all who meet her. And at the time of publication of this third book, she is nearing the end of her cancer treatment.
