Killing the CEO is my journey from competence to burnout and back again. It's a story of transformation that traverses the challenging landscape of leadership growth, success, stress, depression and anxiety. It's a story of a brutal reality check, where I had to confront the foundation of my core beliefs, values and faith to discover my true identity. Apparently, I am not the CEO.
The CEO was a false identity, obsessed with working hard and achieving more. Fueled by flawed beliefs, values and attitudes, the CEO gained strength through repeated actions, social recognition, promotion and even financial reward.
After two and a half years of intense mental turmoil, extreme physical fatigue, radically diminished social capacity and total spiritual dryness, I found myself at rock bottom. There at the bottom, not only did I find myself; I found God...again.
Then you need to read this book. We have a lot in common. Killing the CEO will make you laugh, cry, grimace and perhaps wonder...could this be me?
Join me on this journey of transformation and explore what it took to rediscover my true self, my faith, new hope, fresh purpose and freedom. On this journey Killing the CEO was my only option, and as you will discover, it may also be yours.
