Ric is a cocky and confident young doctor in a Brisbane hospital Emergency Department. He's already kicked a lot of goals. He has a successful medical career; he plays elite level football; and he has an amazing girlfriend.

When he confirms his suspicion that he is adopted, he discovers disturbing secrets involving historical adoption processes, cross-cultural conflict and family shame.
