Henry is a smart and beautiful crow that lives in Cook Street Village, in the heart of Victoria, B.C., Canada. Henry becomes a friend of Mabel, an older woman living in the same village. He spends hours with her, eating treats and playing games. Henry is kind and generous and Mabel wishes to protect him from visitors to the village, who seem to dislike crows. Children throw rocks at the crows to frighten them away and Mabel feels compelled to change their perception and introduce them to Henry. She feels that all animals, and people, should be treated with respect and kindness. Mabel thinks that Henry has a big heart.
