Brian and Mrs. Potts go to the Foo, then the Wham-A-Rama. There's a roast in the oven on low heat and a pan of shelled peas on the stove to be cooked later. Guppy could not resist the peas so he flies to the stove and helps himself. He flies upstairs for his nap.
Maddy wakes to the smell of smoke. She alerts Guppy to get the basket. Maddy grabs Jimmy's mother's journal and puts it in the basket. Guppy grabs the basket and flies to the gazebo, but they can't open the door. Guppy flies them downtown to the police station, screeching Fire as he flies down Stonerich Blvd.
They arrive at the police station. The Chief rushes to the door, grabs the basket and has Stephanie call the fire department to get them to Mrs. Potts' place.
The boardinghouse burns to the ground. Mrs. Potts, Jimmy, and Brian are heartbroken by the fire. Betty has them come to the mansion where they stay for several months.
Maddy discovers the kitchen door open. She investigates. A strange man kidnaps her. She alerts Guppy that she's being taken. Guppy texts Betty and she calls Toombs. The security man gets the license plate from the camera and alerts Chief Price.
The getaway car crashes. Maddy is nowhere to be found. The driver dies. Jimmy and everyone are frantic in their search for his beloved cat.
