By managing numerous elements of their lives, they are already doing the work of an Athlete CEO. It is the author's hope that in reading this book athletes will recognize that they are indeed a small business.

Every Athlete CEO has a tremendous amount of cachet that he brings with him by virtue of being a professional in his particular sport. In some cases he has been in his profession between five and 20 years and has mastered numerous skills during his tenure.
