They might be mother and child, brother and sister-frequently identical twins-or even best friends, but most often they are lovers. Most of the great romances throughout history have been soulmates.
But sometimes, soulmates go bad. It comes down to simple biology. Cells don't always divide or replicate perfectly. Most mutations result in death, and as your parents probably told you, bad things happen. There can be flaws. Deadly flaws.
Can dark soulmates overcome them to salvage the kind of life, or lives, they so desperately crave? Or are they destined to a exist in an unquenched state of yearning that leaves them bitter and angry-at each other? Left to fester too long, such bitterness can lead to madness and even bloodlust. Will love conquer all, or are these star-crossed lovers condemned from the start to descend slowly into the abyss?
Only time will tell.
