Happy First Day of School

It's the first day of school, and excitement is in the air! Happy First Day of School is written for beginning readers, PreK-3. The book prepares preschoolers for new daily routines like getting up on time, independently performing personal hygiene, and getting dressed. There is a message from the principal who speaks to the reader about respect, discipline, expectations, and kindness. Readers are introduced to the teacher, friends and school community helpers to make the first day of school a positive experience. There is an emphasis to become avid readers and expand their vocabulary. There is an emphasis to meet new friends and to participate in social activities in and out of the school and home environment. Happy First Day of School is part of the Motivated 2 Read series which includes Birthdays Count and When Halloween Day Becomes Halloween Night.
