Mirabelle Blackstone knows the man she's meant to be with. Unfortunately, her father, the town's pastor, has other plans. Determined no daughter of his will court with a gunslinger, he sets his sights on another beau-one with a plan of his own.

Billy Madison is desperate to win the approval of Mirabelle's father. His heart doesn't want anyone else, and when she passes along a fearful message, her protection becomes his only goal. His time of putting criminals behind bars tells him something's not right, and that he might be too late to stop it.
