The Harboring & other stories is a collection that weaves together the resiliency of Appalachian women-in fact, all women- as they meet their seemingly insurmountable challenges with grace, celebrate their joys, and find ways to resolve all that remains unresolved in their lives. Jacobs is an award-winning, critically acclaimed author of books for young readers and poetry. She is a frequent contributor of commentary for a number of newspapers across the country. Her work has been published in literary journals and magazines, including The Writer and Writer's Digest. She has twice been chosen Runner-up Best Author of WV.
