I like to think my poems are a little more honest, more revealing of myself, than those in many books of inspirational poetry that I see. I find many of them a little dry, redundant. Their content is true enough, but it could be said using more varied, self-condemning or even self-affirming, language, fewer religious clichés.
It is said that much of today's worship songs are more about the songwriters than about praise to God. These aren't songs, but I include both-lines about the Trinity and lines about myself and others. A few of the poems won't necessarily have inspirational value. But they're revealing of me, of what I think about, of what I struggle with.
Disclaimer: Some may not agree with certain things I say. Oh, well. God didn't make us to all think the same. We are greater and more interesting than robots. It is my hope that you will relate to some of these.
