"The Year of the Blue Snow, that's when the Phillies will win." Blue snow covered the fields of National League ballparks throughout the Summer of 1964. The Philles led the National League by six-and-a-half games with twelve games to play. On the last night of the solar summer, a flamethrower hit the blue snow. Lifelong baseball fan Bill Waldron experienced that Summer of American political and cultural change. Nearly three decades later, he finds himself at the forefront of a technological and digital transformation. Yet the mystical rather than scientific will return him to that fateful, final summer night of 1964.
