Emina Temel A. was born in Nusaybin, Turkey, a town bordering Syria. She was deeply influenced by the rich blend of Middle Eastern and European cultures around her. Witnessing life in this diverse setting shaped her understanding of social and cultural issues worldwide. She graduated from Yıldız Technical University in 2014 and worked as a city planner in Istanbul and published two books in Turkish. She lives in London and is raising two admirable children.
