Marriage, Fandom, Misogynoir, Anti-Blackness, and White Accountability. For the past two years, TaLynn Kel has written about her experiences, from her interracial marriage, her love/hate relationship with fandom and learning to survive a dominant society that repeatedly tells her she should be grateful to exist at all. As she navigates her life as a fat, Black, femme geek, TaLynn shares her struggles and her triumphs, her complicity and her rebellions. She builds a space for herself where she lets her love, pain, hope, and rage exist as companions and adversaries as she recognizes and embraces her humanity in ways that have been previously denied to her. In her essays, TaLynn Kel continues to break normal and let herself be free.
