This thesis titled "Cybersecurity Risk in Banking and Financial Services" explores the evolving landscape of cyber threats in the BFSI sector, highlighting major risk areas such as phishing, ransomware, insider threats, and regulatory gaps. It examines the effectiveness of current cybersecurity frameworks including RBI and ISO guidelines, and assesses organizational readiness using a simulated survey of 200 banking professionals. The study employs exploratory and descriptive research methods to analyze cybersecurity investment, employee training, compliance, and incident response preparedness, concluding with strategic recommendations for strengthening cyber resilience through governance, training, and AI-enabled tools.
