Onofrio Pepe: I Colori del Mito / The Colors of Myth

The catalog of the exhibition held at the University for Foreigners of Siena, from 27 November 2024 to 27 January 2025, is dedicated to the pictorial production of the sculptor Onofrio Pepe. "Pepe's work as a painter", writes Dominique Charles Fuchs, "is twinned with his work as a sculptor, in which he perpetuates the tradition of polychrome sculpture, a constant practice throughout history, from Paleolithic Art to Phidias, and then to the entire medieval and modern tradition of wooden and terracotta polychrome sculpture".
