Home and Belonging brings together life stories of foreign Nigerwives who since the 1960s and 70s have made Nigeria their home. They come from various countries around the world, start a new life, raise families, pursue careers while connecting with culture and community.
Though home as they knew it in the past may be far away, ultimately their sense of belonging (as their stories evidence) is with their husbands and the cultures they represent, Written from 16 individual perspectives as insiders and outsiders, these are women's stories set in post-independence Nigeria.
