It is a journey of young womanhood as something intertwined with the struggles and pains of the world. The individual and her environment(s) blend in palpable ways, and fierce femininity is a constant. In an age of climate injustice, global violence, and mounting social pressure, this speaker is aware of what is changing -- and how it changes her.

Sophia Pinto Thomas is a poet from Boston, Massachusetts. She was born in 2003 to a family of artists and social workers. She enjoys experimenting with the possibilities of rhyme, learning from the trials of young adulthood, and observing the wonders of the natural world.
