Tom Candela is a retired registered nurse with a colorful background as an actor, puppeteer, and mime. His love for storytelling began years ago when he first compiled a collection of poems titled Through the Eyes of the Beasts. Although life's twists and turns delayed his publishing journey, Tom is thrilled to share To Purr, with Love, his debut children's book.

He is the host of Curtain Call with Tom Candela, a weekly podcast on WJFF Radio Catskill that celebrates the magic of theater through conversations with artists and creators. The show is available on Amazon Music and Spotify. When he's not behind the mic or writing, Tom volunteers with the National Canoe Safety Patrol, helping rescue paddlers in distress and promoting water safety on the Upper Delaware River.

Tom lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with his wife and daughter, two dogs, and a lively flock of chickens. Inspired by his deep love for animals, the arts, and nature, Tom looks forward to sharing more of his poems and stories with young readers everywhere.

Romi Caron is an award-winning professional illustrator who has created art for over 90 published books. She was born in Brno, Czech Republic and studied at the Prague University of Fine Arts. She now lives in Quebec, Canada with her husband and three sons. The beautiful nature of the Gatineau region brings her everyday inspiration. Her personal motto is, "the more you give, the more you get."
