Career Jungle Gym: It's Not a Ladder

It's not a career ladder, it's a jungle gym. If you think it's a ladder, you'll soon find your way blocked by those above. You'll often have to make daring leaps sideways in order to continue moving up in your career. Most people will very tightly hang on "their" rungs and complain that it's not an express escalator ride to the top. There's no right path upwards on the jungle gym, and so this book isn't some sort of recipe or template for you to follow.
