Ashes of Brotherhood

In the aftermath of the Civil War, Bluffton, South Carolina stands as a fragile sanctuary for Thomas and James Harper; brothers whose bloodline binds them but whose loyalties have torn them apart. Thomas returns from the North, haunted by the specter of lives lost and the hope for forgiveness. James, unwavering in his allegiance to the South, grapples with wounds that run deeper than the battlefield.

In the ruins of their childhood home, the brothers attempt an uneasy truce, working alongside freedmen to forge a new settlement out of the ashes of the old. But the land they seek to mend teems with danger: vengeful adversaries, unyielding prejudices, and ghosts of a fractured past.
