In the coastal Village of Hjemgrend, the rhythm of life is written in wind, salt, and soil. Runa Thordottir, innkeeper and herbalist, has long trusted in the old ways, plant by the moon, listening to the sea, and never speaking of omens aloud. But this spring, something is wrong.

The tides are too quiet. Flowers bloom before their time, and the animals watch the woods instead of the water.

And then the ship comes, black-sailed, nameless, unmoving on the horizon.

As unease spreads like frost beneath the surface of daily life, Runa begins to record the changes: strange dreams, unnatural fog, and plants that sprout with no seed. Her world doesn't feel cursed but like it's remembering something, something old, something that was never meant to return.

The villagers whisper of forgotten spirits and the gods who once walked these shores. Still, Runa isn't waiting for legend to explain itself. The land is stirring. The sea is listening. And something in the silence is beginning to speak.

With her loyal hound Shadow at her side and her quiet strength rooted in earth and ritual, Runa must uncover the truth behind the shifting world before what has awakened claims the Village, and the tide takes more than it gives.
