Jessiva's flourishing career as one of the Queen's dancers is cut short when the kingdom is conquered and dragons descend upon the Capital. "Storm of Blood and Shadow" is book 3 in the Merciless Dragons series. It can be read as a standalone but there will be relationship and plot spoilers for the first 2 books, so the series is best read in order.
