Where is Calvary? No one knows for certain. This is astonishing given that the death and resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of the entire Christian religion. This book builds a case for the hillock in southwest Jerusalem called Bible Hill as the historical site of Jesus' death and resurrection. It has all the prerequisites needed to be Calvary according to scripture. To be sure, when Jesus was crucified, Bible Hill was outside the walls of Jerusalem; was close to a large city gate; had first-century tombs and gardens; sat by a major road leading up from the country; was visible from a distance; and was located where large crowds could gather. Bible Hill also faces the ruins of the biblical Praetorium and shows countless other signs of being the historical Calvary-from strange burial pits with coins minted by Pontius Pilate, to potential crucifixion nails in the burial urns of Roman soldiers. Bible Hill even looks like a gigantic skullcap. The evidence now indicates Bible Hill is the historical site of Jesus' death and resurrection, which means a total revolution in biblical geography, and the Resurrection of Calvary.
