Ever since becoming an Elite of Newhaven, life for Mari has been quiet and uneventful-until there's a slaughter in the Valis capitol building. Mari and Junie are sent to investigate, and the trail leads them to a bloodstained stranger in the woods. Suddenly, they're caught in the middle of a conspiracy between villages.
