Description

My people, Black South Africans have always had life`s lowest strike rate in our economy in South Africa and Africa in general. This originates from a couple of myths and beliefs that are mostly self-inflicted and can be easily dealt with. Our leader Nelson Mandela tried to teach us a few tricks and we were never willing learners and as a result our progress is retarded on a daily basis. As black people we hold onto long held beliefs and mistakes. One of those mistakes is not drawing lessons from the whites, the Afrikaner in particular. The political commentary or satire in this book looks at how a basic Afrikaner alcoholic drink called "brandy and coke" can help us understand our tenuous situation in the country and at the same time bring us back to reality. Our leadership's political blunders are based on a fascination with everything coming from Europe and disregarding lessons that can be drawn from our fellow Afrikaners. Afrikaners are a synthetic "ethnic" group that prides itself on being farmers or working the land. This farming legacy has suited them very well as they are now a South African economic powerhouse in insurance, agriculture and banking. Continuing on our chosen path since 1994 will only spell disaster for our beloved country.
