Tears of Dragons: The Adventures of Xak Stellar

An evil sorcerer, addicted to the powerful magic contained in dragon tears, has grown powerful by capturing dragons and torturing them to sustain his need. His realm has few wyrms left. Craving, more dragons to hurt, and with the intent of enslaving everyone, and ruling the Isle of Alves, and Brytonia both, an all-out war ensues.

Now the alves and humans have no choice but to set aside their hate for one another and stand with the dragons against this terrible new foe.

Of course, Xak and crew agree to aid the dragons, even though the evil mage seems able to drop them out of the sky at will.
