After a bad breakup with her plastic surgeon boyfriend, Gwendolyn Oliver has been thrown out of the paradise of the glitzy city she loves. Determined to concentrate on her career, Gwen takes the advice of her friends and becomes a sales representative for Wellkind Pharmaceuticals and swears off doctors forever. Now starting at the bottom of the of the totem pole, she is assigned to sell an antibiotic in the small town of Clarefield, California-home of the world's second largest rubber stamp. The only way she will get back to her beloved city life is to make her quota and secure Dr. Kirk Richmond as one of the company's Key Opinion Leaders, a task made more difficult in a cute meet when she literally faints into his arms.
If there is a problem, Dr. Kirk Richmond is the man to solve it. His latest concern is his community's reliance on prescriptions rather than working toward better health. After his sister passed away two years ago from a reaction to an antibiotic, he is on a personal crusade to educate his hometown. Romance is the last thing on his mind, instead, he dreams of opening a holistic health clinic. He only needs to get past his father's objections and raise the funds to make it happen before another developer buys the property he is after. When a certain gorgeous pharm rep from the city offers him the key to making his dreams happen, it means betraying his convictions.
Despite her resolve to never fall for another doctor, after spending time with Kirk, both in and out of the office, she soon ends up in his arms and his bed. In addition, she's falling for Clarefield's small-town charms. However, when disaster hits Kirk a little too close to home, and Gwen gets the offer she's waiting for, they must choose between their goals and their love.
