This book isn't about settling scores or pretending I've got it all figured out. It's about resilience, reinvention, and finding meaning in the mess. The betrayal in chapter 16, for example, is portrayed with care; the pain is real, but the details are respectfully veiled. The love that I once shared with my younger sibling who betrayed my trust, still remains. How can it not? I have forgiven him, but I have not forgotten the hurt. For me, he is now a distant memory. I wish him and his family well.
