The greatest discovery of my life is the reality of the abundant life. And, it can best be described in one word, 'Freedom'. Freedom from emotional pain, all forms of addiction, and sinful actions. The abundant life comes with joy, peace, and profound contentment. So, you no longer pursue fleeting pleasures because you've found enduring joy. You no longer pursue peace from addictions because you've found enduring peace. You no longer pursue worldly riches for contentment because you've found enduring contentment.

The moment you discover abundant life, you will instantly begin to enjoy life in the here and now, with profound gratitude to the Creator of life. The abundant life is a gift that you can receive as a child of God, it's not an outward success that you can strive to achieve. The gospel of John, Chapter 1, Verse 12 made us understand that as many as received Him to them He gave the power to become the children of God. The abundant life is received as a child of God when you possess the Spirit of Christ.

The abundant life is a life of joy, peace, love, patience, and all the other fruits of the Spirit according to the book of Galatians, Chapter 5, Verse 22. It does not depend on acquiring material things but on the presence of the Holy Spirit. Ironically, you can be extremely rich and very miserable. Human nature does not produce abundant life because it is characterized by fear and greed. It is the nature of the Holy Spirit that gives abundant life. Little wonder Jesus said to Nicodemus in the gospel of John, Chapter 3, Verse 6, "Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life."
