We call Shiva "Bholenath", "Ashutosh", "Mahakal" and "Karunamay" - but through these devotees, we see Shiva as one who is pleased with the devotion of his lovers, melts with their tears, and is overwhelmed by their surrender.

While writing these stories, I have repeatedly felt that devotion is not a language, it is a feeling; it is not a script, it is a life.
Whether it is the innocent child Markandeya, or the simple forest dweller Kanappa, or the learned devotee Adishankar - everyone's path was different, but their aim was the same - worshipping the feet of Mahadev.
