Trauma House

When fifteen-year old Sam is sent to live with a new foster guardian in the coastal town of Ilfracombe, she hopes it's just another short stay. But Miss Parr is unlike any adult Sam has met, cold, ageless, and unsettlingly composed, and her crumbling Victorian mansion, perched on the cliffs, seems to breathe with secrets. The locals avoid the house. The rooms don't stay where they should. And the cat, Artemis, watches Sam like it understands too much.

As Sam tries to adjust, strange things begin to happen. Dolls appear and vanish. Whispers crawl through the walls. Sam starts to doubt whether the house is haunted or whether her own mind is betraying her. But the longer she stays, the clearer it becomes that Miss Parr chose her for a reason. The house is a trap, but also a test. And the only way out might be through the very darkness Sam has spent her life trying to outrun.
