In the devastated lands of Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Raïssa, a young girl whose life was once simple and joyful, is brutally thrown into the heart of war. After the tragic loss of her father, her brother, and her mother Thérèse, Raïssa goes through unbearable suffering: fleeing, massacres, rape, corruption of authorities, and the hidden realities of mining conflicts.
On this painful journey, she discovers that not all politicians are corrupt. Some, with courage, try to protect their people in the shadows. But as the chaos seems total, Raïssa hears about a group of young resistants who refuse to submit: the Wazalendo.
Carried by the promise made to her mother and the thirst to find her brother Cédric, Raïssa decides to join these young fighters. Her escape becomes a quest, her cry becomes a weapon, and her story opens the door to the birth of a new heroine.
The continuation of her fight begins soon...
